Modelo! Modelo! Mexico.
After I shot the portraits of the "Blanket" family, the dad ushered me over to a Bouganvillea bush to the side of the shed housing all the finished wares. He then started saying, "Modelo!, Modelo!", louder and louder each time to really get the message across. To go with the words he had some priceless moves. One hand behind his neck, chin up and the other hand proudly on his hip! Then he would swap hands and turn his head as he repeated, "Modelo!". I raised my camera to take a shot of him in front of the bush as I thought that's what he wanted but he scoffed and waved his hand in front of the lens. He grabbed me by the hand and pulled me over to the side of the rug weaving apparatus and pointed. Then it all became clear......
When he saw the penny drop in my mind, he crossed his arms and a wide smile covered his face.
